Hello

thank you for visiting my website. I am a textile artist creating unusual wearables, fabric jewellery, atmospheric altered books and wall based artworks. At the moment I am developing more wearables – fair isle waistcoats embellished with lace, distorted fabrics, beads and buttons. Felted waistcoats and tunics with curious pockets, cutwork and embellishments. These will all be individual artworks as I don’t intend to , and probably couldn’t,  produce a series all the same.

As well as this I deliver workshops to a wide range of groups, not all these workshops are textile based, although that is where my heart lies – fabric and threads are core to all that I do. I have developed a range of workshops that are listed on my workshops page these focus on my textiles work, or the books and boxes that I create.

On my events page you will find details of any open workshops. A lot of the workshops that  I run are for specific groups and not available for open bookings, but if you are interested in my work why not join my mailing list, then you can find out first where I am and what I am doing. Email me if you want to join this list.

I deliver a lot of workshops in schools and now there is a page dedicated to this, so any teachers interested in my work, please check this page out, or contact me direct. As well as the workshops I will be showing I am always happy to develop a specific topic with schools.

Thanks

Nicky

Hi there Nicky, just thought I would let you know how much I enjoyed your website
and also the workshop you did at Boston Embroiders’ Guild on Monday .
I have some more work to complete my brooch , I love your necklaces , tactile and very organic , I particularly like any textile work that uses organic form as a influence.
